Does abortion cause sterility??
Question: i'm 11 weeks pregnant my hubby wants me to have an abortion, if i have it it's going to be my second abortion i'm affraid that i'll never be able to havewanted pregnancies again,is true that after two abortion women become steril
Answers: Ok forst of all your 11 weeks pregnant- why would you want to kill your baby at that stage?? Its not his decision, its yours.. do not let that man push you into doing something you dont want to do.
Secondly- yes abortion can cause issues with fertitlity, it increases the risks of miscarriage for future pregnancies and can also cause you to not be able to get pregnant again if anything is scarred during the procedure.
Think long and hard before having an abortion, I had one and I have paid for it every day since I did it. I can still get pregnant but have had 4 miscarriages in 2 years. Be very careful with your body, we only get one to work with in the 1st place.
I swear at the age of 12 all kids should be sterilized and then you would have to take a test to show you are not a complete tard before you can have the procedure reversed.
Call it helping evolution. Scientists should work on that procedure. Imagine a world with no idiots like 4 abortion moron girl.
If a presidential candidate ever runs on that platform he will get my vote.
If I am elected president of the Unites States I promise to stop the tards from reproducing!
P.S. it's a shame your husbands parents didn't abort him. Don't get an abortion, dump the shlub.
I'm pro choice but I have to say for someone who is married and doesn't want children, which I assume you don't if you're willing to get an abortion, you and your husband are really irresponsible. Abortion can cause issues with fertility, but it's not extremely common. The things that can happen are infection of the fallopian tubes which can lead to scar tissue and cause a blockage where the egg can't travel from the ovary to the uterus. With multiple abortions you can have what's called an incompetent cervix where your cervix dilates too early in your pregnancy and you miscarry. An incompetent cervix can be fixed with a simple surgery where a stitch is placed in the neck of the cervix to make it narrow.
If you're doing this because your husband wants you to, don't. You need to leave him if he's trying to force you into getting an abortion. If it's because you both don't want kids then I stick to my original statement that you're both irresponsible. Use birth control pills and condoms if you don't want a baby right now.
EDIT: If you want this baby, you have this baby. Don't get an abortion because your husband is threatening you with divorce. It's your body, it's a major surgical procedure, it's your choice. If he's threatening divorce because you keep your own child, you need to leave him. He's a selfish, irresponsible, jerk. If he didn't want a baby then he should've used a condom. Leave him, and sue his *ss for child support.
It's not necessarily true. Yes, abortion can damage your insides, but not all the time. Why would you have an abortion if you were married? You already have kids, and want more in the future...what's wrong with this one? That doesn't really make a whole lotta sense.
It is not true that a woman becomes sterile if she has more than one abortion. However, sterility is a risk of abortion and it may be that between 2 and 5 percent of women who have an abortion do suffer from future sterility -- it's very difficult to get reliable information/statistics because this is such a heated political issue. But abortion is a surgical procedure -- with that, comes the risk of having a surgical procedure, including the buildup of scar tissue, for example, which can cause sterility when that scar tissue is in the uterus.
It is not nearly as simple as knowing that sterility will occur after some magical number of abortions. Most women who have abortions do not become sterile, but it is a risk, and in that regard it can happen after a single abortion...or not at all, after a few abortions.
If *you* decide you want an abortion discuss the risks carefully with your doctor/provider -- or discuss them as part of your decision-making process. I am rabidly pro-choice and unlike what seems like the majority of Y!A users I believe that you should have the option of having an abortion *if that is what you want to do.* But do not have an abortion because your husband, or anyone else, wants you to have one. (I know that's easy for me to say, and it's not so easy to be in a position where one spouse wants an abortion and the other does not; I don't mean to suggest it's easy, I just want to remind you that it is your choice, and it is a difficult/major one, and should never be made for the wrong reasons.)
Best of luck to you.
It depends on how your body is, but yes abortions can cause sterility & other problems with the reproductive system. If he's your husband, he should be happy that you two were able to make something that is a part of both of you. Abortions aren't good for the body, especially when you have more than one. You should keep your baby, unless y'all are poor & can't half support yourselves. Let your husband know that you don't want to risk not being able to have your baby & you refuse to get another abortion, because he wants to be selfish.
I dont understand, if your hubby doesnt want children right now why are you getting pregnant? Thats not fair to your unborn child seeing this is the second time??! The heart is beating, every organ has now began to develop. Brain now controls movements. It has jaws & teeth buds. Ears & nose are developed. Blood type and sex of the baby are present. It also has finger prints now. It can turn its head, curl its toes and even open & close its mouth now. Ask your husband & yourself are you ready to destroy your baby because you were both irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex? Dont get me wrong but it makes me upset that this isnt the first time, this would be your second abortion? Why isnt your husband not taking responsibility for his actions? Common sense: If you dont want kids dont get pregnant. And YES every abortion gives you a bigger risk.
No, but it should for people who have them.
you don't need a husband like that. i would leave him no matter what the outcome.
No it's not true. If it were there wouldn't be so many women having their 3rd, 4th or 5th abortion, sadly because they simply are not being responsible with birth control. Repeated abortions can cause reproductive problems however for some. I am pro choice, by the way, but you are becoming the kind of irresponsible woman who makes our cause more difficult to fight. 11 weeks? Why have you waited this long? That's a fetus, not an embryo. The sex is detectable, it has a distinguishable face and hands and feet. Have the baby and give it up for adoption if you can't give it a good home. Be responsible this time. Your husband is very selfish man...but you already know this.
abortion CAN cause sterility, it is a dice game. roll the bones if you want.

Stop geting pregnant first of all. DO you really need to use abortion as birth control. I hope to God that it makes you sterile because you do not deserve the right to breed. Hope that helps:)
I dont know lady but u should be ashamed of ur self for killing ur inocent unborn baby and for wanting to do it again I hope u become steril u dont deserve to have the blessing of babies
Why dont you go on the pill!! I think having an abortion is an easy way out . If my husband told me to get one Id kick him in the nutts! You've already had one before thats very irresponsible.you can always give it up for adoption ,its sad when people treat a tiny life like a used Kleenex, you need to kick your stupid husband to the curb honey ,cause to me that just comfirms he dont give a $hit about you
The statement that after two abortions women become sterile simply isn't accurate.
There's really no way to predict if there will negative consequences or problems following an abortion. Theoretically, if an abortion is performed by a competent doctor and done correctly, it shouldn't cause such permanent problems. However, complications can always arise. This is something you need to consider very carefully, but since you're already in you 11th week, you don't have much time.
If you do this, please do yourself the favor of taking more precautions not to become pregnant until you're ready. If you were using birth control, it obviously didn't work. Double or triple protect yourself from now on unless you want to become pregnant.
Good luck.
GEEZ you idiots READ THE QUESTION.....having two abortions MAY cause infertility....It's not a yes or no answer because there is no way of anticipating what will happen. Every woman and abortionist is different. When you drive a car someone MAY hit you.
2 abortions increases your chances of stertility and breast cancer. Your typical abortion clinic maimes 1 woman a month in an abortion, this could be a perforated uterus or any other mistake that can cause infertility.
you will not become streil i swear i have 4 abortions.
