This is not a nice question -ladies only??

Question: I live in a area where the water has run out and could stay like that for nearly 2 weeks but the thing is i am due for my period tomorrow and not quite sure how to keep clean due to the circumstances! My bath is full of old water which we are uses to flush the toilet and i do have bottled water but that is mainly for a little wash over the sink and i do have babywipes but is there any thing else i could use or do, please help and yes this is a serious question!! Thanks in advance
Answers: Baby wipes is a really good answer...also i have found if I use a tampon.. things well get less messy...use a tampon and change it more often than u usually would might help...
also maybe find a small bucket to sit on and use bottled water to help rinse twice a day...

I really feel for you and hope your water comes back soon
good luck :)
baby wipes are a good idea. i recommend AGAINST tampons tho, cos they can harbor bacteria, and ifyou are not taking showers, you are more likely to contract TSS.

stick with pads, or look into the INSTEAD soft cup.

p.s. do NOT douche, it is bad for your vaginal environment and welcomes an infection.
baby wipes sound like a good idea. if you can use a small amount of you bottled water then follow up with a wet wipe
A bottle of water, soap and wash cloths+the wipes
,should keep you clean. Also use deoderant.
Wet wipes will be fine and will keep you nice and clean whilst you are on your period. If they are good enough to clean poo from a baby's bum then they are fine for your purpose too.
It has to be baby wipes. sorry for all your troubles with the rain, hope it stops soon. lol.
damn that is a crappy situation! I'd go with baby wipes personally, good luck!
You will be able to buy yourself some Fem Fresh wipes, they are really usefull and most supermarkets and chemists sell them, hope thats of some use.
Seeing as you have water, for a little wash over the sink, if you have enough water for the sink - its face, pits and then your bits.... the water will be ok. Babywipes might sting - just use the ordinary water that you wash over the sink with and change your towels or tampons regularly.
babywipes i think are the most sensible answer till ur able to wash properly. sorry to hear the difficulties ur having it must be awful for u. hope u get yr water back and everything back to normal soon.
Unlucky on the water situation! Poor you! Best bet is clean with baby wipes then use your boiled water, warm, and have a quick wash with some soap! Good luck, and hope you have all your water back soon! I'd hate not to be able to shower/bath! x
buy those always™ pads that have wipes built on. Otherwise, use the babywipes, or toilet paper!!
Use ur recources!! ;D
use the babywipes or buy some fremfresh product they do great ones that are designed for camping that work better than the freshening wipes. cant remember what they are called though sorry
get yourself a mooncup - they are brilliant!

There are some things you can buy at Wal Mart...

1. there are some facial cleasers that have soap in them... you can just get them a little wet and clean down there. It won't be so much soap you would have to rinse after, you can just wipe it off.

2. There is some new thing I remember seeing... a cream or a pill, I can't remember... and it is meant to bring your pH balance back to that area. Meant for just after or during your period to get rid of odors, etc. It's by the condoms and stuff

3. a dousche.

Also, use tampons over pads as much as possible so that the blood never comes all the way out.
try to go to the market and get some water n supplies , go to a relative or friend's house
id use the baby wipes as the water is needed for drinking etc.
baby wipes will do a fine job.
I Know this might sound wierd.. but the water u already have and which is old, boil that water and let it cool so that all the germs can be killed and keep using that!or go to a friend's house and wash over there!
make your self a little basin of water to clean yourself everyday. use baby wipes or tissue when u go to the bathroom but u must clean yourself everyday. i know they are rationizing water but u only need 3 cups of water at the most but wash every morning or every nite at least.
I think baby wipes areyour best bet. And they wont sting either. Hope your water comes back soon.
I would just use a baby wipe. It would be good if you could use a little water to rinse.

Get a small container or tub, fill with soapy water and squat over a wash bowl, tub etc. Then pour the water slowly down your private area and wash. Get another lot of water and rinse. lol
babywipes sound perfect
Why not buy some bottled water which you can heat up to wash with with a sponge/wash cloth and soap and then dispose of. Also use tampons as these will be less messy and less odour.....really feel for you babe, not a nice predicament to be in
