How Do I Get Rid Of/Soothe Thrush??

Question: I'm only 16 and I don't really want to have to go out to a doctor and buy the cream and pill ... is there anything else that relieves the pain or gets rid of it altogether?

Thanks :)
Answers: Some home remedies for candidiasis include:
1)the consumption or direct application of yogurt (which contains lactobacillus), probiotics, acidophilus tablets or salves, Pau d'arco tea, and even lightly crushed cloves of garlic, which yield allicin, an antifungal agent.

2)Boric acid has also been used to treat yeast infections (by inserting gelcaps filled with boric acid powder into the vagina at bedtime for three to four consecutive nights).[citation needed]

3)Eating a diet consisting primarily of green, fresh, raw vegetables also may give relief.[citation needed]

4)Other alternative treatments consist in consuming a fermented beverage called Kefir.
I realise you might not want to see a doctor, but the reason I would suggest to go is that it might not definitely be thrush- in which case it could be important to find out then you will be able to treat it, and this could be important depending what it may be.
Otherwise if it is thrush- there are tablets and well a creams available at the chemist that you can use. If you are really embarrassed to go to the chemist, then maybe go to one that isn't in yor local area if that helps.
I have also heard that yoghurt helps- though it has to be natural yoghurt (like not with additives or flavours, etc). So I guess just the plainest one you can find- that is for inserting- I would double check that though- as I have only heard that. As for eating it- I think you can eat any (flavoured, etc) and it will still be helpful for your body.
Also it is a common problem so while the doctor might seem scary- they do it everyday. If it helps maybe go to a women's clinic to talk about it.
Hope you find your solution.

You don't need to see a doctor for Thrush, go to your local pharmacy and buy canestan cream, they have quite a few available with 1 application to seven applications.
The seven application one is better as your body has more time to fight back the thrush, it can be taken as a cream or a pessiary.
Unfortunately, even though you probably aren't sexually active, it would not be adviseable to have sex during treatment as this will irritate the vagina further.
Also, do not douch as this will inflame the area, do not put your yogurt into your vagina as this will also irritate it.
Yokult is also good to take while going through the course of treatment.
In addition to this, there is nothing to be embarrassed about, this is complately normal and very common.
yougort ,but you really need to make sure this is what you have?dont be scared you will be ok
