Opinions on female circumcision.....??
Question: Females in some parts of the world are forced to undergo surgical removal of their sexual organs (often without anesthesia) to satisfy social/cultural customs of their society. This is analogous to taking a dull knife and scraping off the head of a man's penis. Is this something that should be legal? If we say yes, then we are saying it is OK to take a knife to someone's sexual organs against their will, and change their sexual feelings (and possibly their health). On the other hand, if we say it's not legal, we are saying that another culture (one that we may not fully understand) is wrong and should live by our standards. Do we have the right to do this?
Answers: no it should not be legal to do to a child but if a grown man or woman want to be mutilated or if it must be done because of disease it should be allowed.circumcision of children anywhere should be illegal.
