Side effect of long term use of contraceptive injectables??
Question: i have used depo provera for 10 years now will it mean sterility for me?im already 45 years old
Answers: Depo shouldn't cause sterility but being 45 years old will do it.
I would suggest seeing your GP as you are older and there are other things to take into consideration. If you are planning to have a child they will will refer you for to a fertility clinic. I wish you all the best.
unless u are planning to be a mother again so late i think u are more likely to experience menopause before sterility!
if the thing has worked for ten years then for u there are no long-term side effects that have health implications. serious side effects would have occurred within the first six months of use
