The Gym
January 15th, 2010 -- Posted in Healthy Activities, Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Tips | No Comments »The gym has its origins in aerobics (gymnastics shaping the body by movements of Music), which itself arises from the jazz-dance or gym-jazz. In 1968, Kenneth H. MD Cooper, Lieutenant-Colonel in the U.S. Army, developed a concept of physical activities in order to provide a gain of form (based on activation of the cardiovascular system) to its practitioners. To demonstrate the usefulness of exercises, he published a book titled “Aerobics”. In the 1970s, the aerobics movement develops, consolidates and becomes especially media under the leadership of Jane Fonda. It creates its own working method it calls: Work Out.
