Would anythign bad happen if i slept with contacts for 1 night only??
Question: or would i go blind?
Answers: it depends on what kind they are i guess
no...nothing would happen...I did it before but I dont recommend it for more than one night because it damages the vision that is in your eye and plus your eye needs oxygen and you don't want it to dry out..
your eyes will feel dry. thats about it.
depends on what kind they are and what your eye chemistry was. i started in preference (3-month) and i could wear them for 3 days straight when i was younger. when i hit 15 or 16 i could no longer do that(same contacts). now i have acuvue oasis, so youre supposed to wear them a week straight, let soak overnight, wear another week, and throw out. i always forget to take them out so i go up to a month...and they are seriously awesome.
nah....
I do it once in a while, just be sure you clean them good ASAP
LOL, no you won't go blind. But it is kind of hard to remove them once you have slept in them all night. It's almost like the suction to your eye or something and you have to take your time getting them out. Also, your eyes will be pretty dry, this is assuming we are talking about daily wear contacts..extended wear can be slept in.
i sleep in mine for about 3 days then wear my glasses for a day then repeat, too much of a hassle to take them out and put em in every night and morning
you would be fine. when you wake up your eyes will be very dry. just put some solution in and slowly take out the contacts. this is of course only if you have soft lenses
1 day is probably no big deal. you are increasing your risk of corneal inflammation or infection by like 800%, but in the scheme of things not too big of a deal IMO. its like running a stop sign. if you do it ONCE, you'll probably be ok. but if you KEEP doing it over and over and over...odds are at some point you're going to get blindsided.
the problems arise IMO when people keep doing it. they sleep in their lenses a few times and nothing significant happens so they think its ok to just do it continually. lots of serious short and long term problems arise from that. short term: microbial keratitis, etc. long term corneal neovascularization and corneal limbal stem cell dysfunction
You should not wear contacts to bed, even if only for 1 night. Contacts can move, scratch your eyes, cause a scratch which can be very painful, sometimes even cause an ulcer with permanent damage.
i just got back from the eye docter. they said that you can but you should take them out once you wake up. put some solution in them. you wont go blind dont worry. nothing will happen all that will is they will dry out.
nope. I sleep in mine for a week.
