Is sleeping with your contacts on bad?? even for one night??
Answers: I slept with my contacts in and it ruined my eyes and now I have to wear glasses and only contacts for a short period of time. I did sleep with them in for almost a year though. I think a day here and there should be okay but always try to keep a contact case with you in case you might need it.
yer they could roll up into yr eyelid which has happened to me also when u wake up in the moring u might forget & rub yr eyes which may irritate you.
bad!
:(
Well, if they're soft lenses, you'll have really dry eyes the next day. A friend of mine was temporarily blinded by wearing them overnight because of the calcium buildup. I think it lasted three days.
Hard lenses will hurt a bit when you leave them in, and mine went round to the back of the eye for a couple of days, where it was right next to the optic nerve, rubbing against it. Not recommended.
dude ive told you yes!
sont you listen
lmao
your actually using this hahaha
yep. well it depends on different factors. Do you have sensitive eyes, do you produce enough tears or do you have dry eyes? It also depends how well you clean your lenses when you do take them out. Also it mostly depends on the type of contact you own. Daily contacts (replace once a year) are the worst. Extended wear are meant to slept with. However my experience is that my eyes temporary are swollen. 2 week disposables are comfortable and one a day contacts are comfortable.
For one night, i would add some eyedrops to the contact to prevent it from getting dry prior to sleeping. Depending on the contact you could wake up with mucus around your eye.
Its dangerous if you sleep with it on a constant basis. You can get corneal ulcer or be at a higher risk at getting conjuctivities. If you have a cold, dont wear your contacts overnight. Your eyes needs oxyen as much as possible.
No, it just dries them out, been there done that, too much.
yea dude!!! they get stuck in ur eye!!! it's happened before. nah seriously, i asked my eye doc and he said it's ok, i mean you can get an infection, but they can cure it. but still dont do it! this dude i knew got them stuck in his eye and he had to go to the hospital....so yea i dont do that...but i suppose u can try....

If your lenses are gas permeable then they are at risk of cutting your eye as you are asleep, or going behind your eye. if they are soft contact lenses they cut off the oxygen supply to your iris (even the high water content ones) and the blood vessels will become raised in the iris and will be at risk of rupturing and causing bleeding in your eye. Its a fact that the eye gets most of its oxygen by absorption through the dissolving of oxygen on the surface of the iris, and if you wear the lenses for too long the tiny blood vessels raise to the surface to desperately try to get more oxygen. You will not be able to see it yourself with the naked eye, although your eyes will feel tired and itchy - your ophthalmic surgeon will be able to see this with their equipment and warn you. If you have been sleeping in your lenses often I would suggest you have two weeks without them to let your eyes settle down again. If a blood vessel ruptures you will never be able to wear contact lenses again or even have corrective laser surgery successfully.
bad
It certainly isn't good! You're need to breathe funnily enough and contact do not allow for that properly. Also the eye cannot ash out of the dirt particles properly. Its very important to take your contacts out whenever you can.
of course it is..
Depends on what type of contacts they are. There are some which are made to be worn at night rather than the day because they fix your eyes so you don't need to wear contacts or glasses. They are a hard lense type. With other contacts, the soft lenses which are more common, its best not to wear them at night but take them out.
Dream big!
Yes, it is bad. It can increase your chances of getting some disease that could make you blind.
I'd say that would depend a lot on the type/brand of contact you have. While living in Florida I had Hydro-curve II contacts and was able to keep them in for several nights. Since then all the ones I've had I have been unable to keep them in even one night. If you do keep them in overnight be sure you have some good eye drops which are compatible with your contacts.
