Can I sleep with contacts in and will they dry our if i do??

Question: I have some non prescripton Freshlook color blends contact
Answers: Oh don't do that!
I used to do that and I ended up at the ophthalmologist's office with severe eye pain and redness one day. I had an infection, a scratched cornea, and it damaged my vision further.
Follow the instructions for your contacts! If they're dailies, wear a new pair everyday, if they're the 2 week kind, take them out every single night, rinse them with solution and store them in fresh solution until morning.

Don't mess around with your vision! It's too precious.
It is possible to purchase extended wear contacts with a prescription, but most opthymologists will tell you that this is not a good idea.
As far as your color blends go, try sleeping with them in just once - you'll know exactly why this isn't a good idea!
no no! you'll have to go to the doctor if you do that!
Got my first set of contacts around 1978 and have always removed them at night. Now they say with the new ones you can sleep in them...I don't buy it and would not try it. I find I can take a nap for an hour or so ok, but that's it. Just get into the habit of removing every night.
you should not sleep with that kind of contact lens in your eye. there are only a couple out there that are even remotely ok to wear in your eye overnight. i work for an ophthalmologist and she does not recommend doing that but if you do the only kinds are focus night and day and acuvue oasys.
NO!

Those contacts are not designed for overnight use because your eyes need more oxygen then they allow. Your contacts might not dry out, but you run the risk of infection, abrasion, redness, etc...
Every person's tear production is different. A person can sleep with the softlenses. I never would. The reason is the same why I no longer wear them. I can wear the gas permeable, but I have deficient tears and so I can't wear the soft lenses. Yes, your eyes may dry out, but only you or your opthomologist can answer that.

I would not do it on a regular basis.
