Eyes getting yellowish tint 2 weeks after getting contacts??
Question: I got contacts two weeks ago and this could have been happening before but I didn't notice. But I noticed a few days ago that the whites of my eyes have a bit of a yellow tinge and it is more concentrated in one spot on the side of the eye closest to my nose and it does that on both eyes.
Answers: Not sure if we have the same thing but I have been wearing contacts for 9 years. I have to use eye drops to get my eyes to look all white and not so dull. I've noticed my eyes arent as white as others who don't wear contacts and they aren't as shiny (for a lack of better word) although I do have really dry eyes..maybe thats why.. =]
Go see a doctor right away since yellowish can be a sign of jaundice, which means your liver may not be working well. This can be really serious if left untreated. Don't stress about it since it might be something else, but get it checked out.
Some sort of infection. U need to be seen by a doctor. I would go back to the eye doctor first and see if it could be related to the contacts. If they can't find anything then u need to go to your family doctor.
Hepatitis
Unlike the other posters I do not think that you have hepatitis or jaundice. Usually if someone has one of these they know long before their eyes and body start to turn yellow. However, I would go see your eye doctor. If he looks in your eyes and is concerned he will tell you to see your General Practitioner for tests. Always talk to a doctor when you have concerns about the eye. You are not going to get proper answers here on Y/A since nobody can see your eyes here. Good luck
Thats not good =)
