Does lasic work for astigmatism??
Answers: Lasik. And Yes, it can.
yes it does! Recommend you do yoiur homework though. Find a reputable opthamologist and chech their trac record- these ARE your eyes!
Godd Luck!
Yes. I had lasik with astigmatism. It won't completely correct the astigmatism, that's not possible, but your vision will be greatly improved. If you're considering lasik, research the doctors thoroughly to make sure they know what they are doing. My doctor had performed over 10,000 eye surgeries before I went to him and he guaranteed his work. With an astigmatism, however, you can be disqualified from the surgery from your eye being too oval. Once your cornea is passed a certain curvature, they can't perform the surgery. Once you've selected a doc, see if they will test you for eligibility for free and get the tests done, and he/she can answer all of your questions. Once I was determined eligible, I had to read all of the literature on it and watch a video that went over the benefits and possible risks of lasik before I could tell them that I wanted it. Also check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there have been any complaints filed with them against that doctor. Good luck! I'm very happy I had it done.
Yes it does. I had a pretty bad one, -4 and -4.5. Got the lasik done and now have 20/15 vision when it used to be 20/200+.
