I ended up falling asleep with my contacts and now i close my eyes everytime i look at bright light wht is it?
Question: I fell asleep with them in by accident and now my eyes twitch or close shut at any brightness and there's alittle redding, but it kinda hurts here and there. Any idea what it is or am I just looking too into it?This is the first time i ever fell asleep with them like this btw.
Answers: My boyfriend falls asleep with them in every night. Even though he is supposed to take em out. They end up stuck to my chin or my shirt. Its not healthy and you can get bacterial infections so you should make sure not to do it again. and rince them off. Maybe even go to the hospital.
You'll be fine. I would take your contacts out and let your eyes rest and get some oxygen if you have glasses that you can wear. Doing it one night isn't going to hurt your eyes. Doing it multiple nights and leaving them in over and over can do damage to your eyes if you don't have the ones that can be worn overnight.
The problem occurs when they're not made for overnight wear because what happens is the contacts prevent oxygen from getting to your eyes and prolonged wear will cause your eye to increase vein growth to bring in more oxygen. So if you look at someone who wears contacts all the time and sleeps in them, they'll probably have more veins visible in their eyes if you look hard enough.
I know from personal experience because I used to sleep in mine and while minimal I did have some growth. But I'm fine now.
Yeah that heppened to me about a year ago...
..in my situation, I had a virus in my eye...
i had to keep my contacts out for about 4 months straight, which i really didnt want to do...
but i had to do it and the problem was solved...
...if you want to know for sure whats going on, see your optometrist...
Sounds like you have an eye infection-that being the case, you will have to Throw away your contacts and DO NOT wear them until you have been cleared but your eye doctor.
you might have an eye infection, or could have even scratched your eye, then again sleeping in them and your eyeballs not getting to breathe they could just be dry. take your contacts out! throw away! if you have no rub contact lens solution i would put some in your fridge when it gets cold put a couple of drops in each eye and see how it feels after that. if they are still hurting and you are still light sensitive go to your eye doctor!!!
