My 19 month old son squints his eyes when there is light..example outside..??
Question: And his eyes are wide open when he is inside at home..I have taken him to couple eye doctor one said that he might need glasses....and today i took him to a specialist and he put some eye drops in his eyes and then look under his eye lids and they turned to be real RED..and he said he would not need glasses and gave us a eye drop formula for allergies..i mean under his eye lids they turned real red when the drops were given..
Answers: Maybe he has sensitive eyes. and the redness means hes healthy that's the ways doctors check on kids if they are healthy. Because if his eye lid were pink or white thats not a good thing. (Sorry for my english)
as for the squinting his eyes may be sensitive.I have that problem and also my niece,we cant open our eyes right away. And I cannot use eye drops either, they irratate my eyes so bad and they turn red.I was using them for allergies but i cant any more
His lids were red before the drops were given. Light sensitiviy, squinting, rubbing eyes and red under the lids are all signs of allergy.
Use the drops as instructed.
as far as squinting outside, he may just be light sensitive.. some people are.. I myself being one of them
Try getting him a fun pair of sunglasses he'll enjoy wearing.. its also healthier for his eyes to wear them (in the long run)
As far as the redness under his lids... I cant help you.
Good luck!
