Should I duct tape my eyes shut??
Question: is this a good idea if you see better in your right eye?
AND is this good for help with sleep, or is this dangerous
Answers: you know i use to have what they called a lazy eye meaning i use one eye more than the other, so my optom made me take a gauze pad and two pieces of SURGICAL TAPE to tape on my left eye so i would use it more....and my vision imporved by 3.00...so it works but u have to do it ALL the time.
Ouch.
That'd hurt taking them off, that's for sure.
Not a good idea.
Ouch. Bad idea. Use blindfolds.
This is a very bad idea. If you have vision problems you need to consult an eye doctor, preferably an opthamologist, to see if it's a serious problem that requires prescription eyeglasses, medical treatment, or even surgery.
They have eye covers, made for a situation like this...
Why the hell would you use Duct Tape.
And you may lose your eyebrows.
See an optometrist, an ophthalmologist will want to treat you with surgery and not with therapy if it will help.
Is this for you or a child of yours?
If it's for you and you're over 10 years old, then the patching of an eye will not benefit you as much as if you were a child.
The only time you need to tape an eye shut is if it will not shut on its own. E.g. My husband has been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. The left side of his face is paralyzed. His left eye does not completely close while he sleeps, so he must tape it shut. This should not be used to improve eyesight. If you are using it for sleep, there is not much difference between taping and using a blindfold.
