Can you wear colored (nonperscription) contacts if you have an astigmatism??
Question: I have an astigmatism in one eye and I have the plainest brwon eyes ever. I want contacts but I don't know if I can't wear normal ones because of my eye.
Answers: They do make contacts for astigmatism (if you've seen the commercial with the twins...). I'm sure they make them in nonperscription too, just go to your eye doctor and ask for them.
YES:> i have astigmatism in both eyes and i have worn colored contacts. it's about 300 dollars but it last an entire year
It depends on the brand of lenses and how bad the astigmatism is. I have astigmatism in my left eye and I was able to wear some brands of colored lenses. My mother has much higher degree astigmastism and she was very limited in the types of lenses she could wear and she couldn't wear any of the colored ones. That was a couple of years ago, though.
Check with your eye doctor. S/he will be able to recomment brands that will work for you eyes - prescription or not. You can probably just call and not have to make an apointment.
it seems okay, especially since you have it in one eye. but it still depends, if you have very low astigmatism, then is okay. but wearing non perscription contacts can worsen your eye sight, so have it check afterward.
Yah can, no problem at all.
You can wear non-perscription contacts if you have an astigmatism, but if you are going to wear contacts any ways you may as well correct your astigmatism. If you are thinking of using someone else's plano contacts please dont! You can come across many different problems.
