When I grow up I want to be a laser eye surgeon/ophthalmologist help??

Question: This is an odd question, but I need to know of a good college to go to and maybe even some advice on what HIGH school classes to take to prepare.
Answers: you don't need to take specific classes to prepare to become an opthalmologist...but of course you should have a good GPA and take all the AP science and math courses offered in high school. You can go to any college that is affiliated with a med school, that is the best way to get into med school. You will need to do research as well to become a more attractive candidate for med school and eventually for residency.

Just remember, becoming a doctor is a loooooong road, so think long and hard before going into it. I absolutely love it and have no regrets, but it is a long road and you will go into debt initially. An ivy league will cost you $40K a YEAR and med school about the same. There are BS/MD programs that let you in right after high school, ie. you are guaranteed admission to med school after 2-4 years of college (depending on the program) as long as you maintain a certain GPA and get certain scores on MCATs.
