Should your pupil's size change this quickly??

Question: I was sitting in bed and couldn't sleep so I randomly grabbed my flashlight/a mirror to admire my newly braceless teeth.

Then I remembered that when you look into light it's supposed to make your pupils smaller. So I was messing around with looking into the light and realized that right when I do it it makes my pupil small within a second. It looks kinda cool/creepy.

Is it supposed to change size that quickly?!
lol Sorry if this seems like a weird question, I just never noticed that before...
Answers: Yes
your pupils should change rapidly. it's the eyes way of protecting itself. The pupil dialates (becomes bigger) when there is less light to allow more light behind the eye and increse vision in the dark. the more light the smaller the pupil to protect the eye from harfull bright light and uv rays that could damage it.
what kinda drugs were you tripping on???
Yes, it's completely normal. They open and close according to the level of light--immediately. It is kinda cool/creepy. :)

Normally, yes.
