Sleep disorder ?????


Question: im only 11 ( nearly 12 ) and i think i have a sleep disorder because i can never get to sleep and i lay in my bed for about 2 hours before i can go asleep and in the morning i feel so tierd in the afternoon i feel hyperactive and early in the morning like about 1 - 1.30 im not sleepy do i have a sleep disorder ????
Answers: I think you should try and go to bed at like 9pm and wake up at 7am, and if you are still tired in the morning and you just can't fall asleep at 9, I would say yes, you probably do, but that is just my opinion.

no, you don't have a sleep disorder. You just need to change some of your habits. Don't drink any soda at all at least 6 hours before you go to bed. You might also have something on your mind, and it might sound corny, but right them down and think about them in the morning. I had the same problem.

possibably your body needs to be reprogramed..ask your mom if you could take a benadryl for 2 or 3 days about 1 to 11/2 hours before bedtime..try it over the weekend, it is an antihistamine and will put you to sleep, it is non habit forming and getting your body to reset itself is the best way to break a habit.
At 11 years old, sleep is very important. In order to learn properly you need to sleep well. I do not think that it is a good idea to start to self medicate at your age. I think you need to speak to a specialist about this.
