What is wrong with me??
Question: Okay, so i have been depressed for about a year and a half now! i am not happy anymore! i am a hypocondriac (sp?) and i take meds, i've talked to a counsler, i diagnosis myself with things, i get so mad and upset, i can flip any second! what should i do? i just want things to be back the way they were before! sometimes i feel like i should check myself into a mental institution, life is so confusing and hard for me to deal with (i am not sucidal though). i've tried everything, what else is there to do?

Sounds like depression. Depression affects people in different ways. If you are on medications it sounds like they need to be changed.Counseling is also a good idea. I had depression for several years. Checking into a stress center is not all ways a good idea. Because when you come out you still have your same problems you left behind to deal with. talk with your Doctor and let them know whats going on.
Medication can be tricky. You need to find the right meds for you. It can be a trial and error period but work with your doctor to find the right ones. Also meds alone will not do the trick. You need to stay in counseling and try some group therapy as well. It helps to know that you are not the only one feeling this way. It can be a slow process but try and stick with it.

Well that is obvious a sign of stress. I have it myself too, it all has to do with your hormones. When your hormones are messed up or confused is this the reaction you get. Have you been to the doctor? I know you will prob hear things you already know but please do pay attention to this prob. I had this for years, it is starting to get less now, it's just between the ears, as we speak. Good luck.

Things that used to make me happy when I could physically do them were things that made me feel productive, like cleaning or drawing or writing. Also, it helped when I got my two cats because then I was never really alone. Another good thing for me was music. I really loved singing and dancing to music. Sometimes I forget that. I am a hypocondriac too, but that's because I've had so many medical conditions that now I think everything is a medical condition. I would talk to your psychiatrist though and see if there isn't something else that you can try. I don't know what you are taking so I can't help you there, but if you ever need to talk to someone, you can talk to me. hope that helps. :)
