Does pubic hair change as you get older??
Question: When I was younger, my pubic hair was soft, wavy, and about 4 inches long and very thick and bushy. Now that I'm older, my pubic hair doesn't seem to grow nearly as long, only about an inch or two long, and it is much more like a brillo pad, very coarse and wirey where it kind of clumps up and creates bald looking spots. It just looks spotty and thin and balding now, even though I'm only 41 years old.
Answers: Yes, it does change. It will thin and even turn gray like the hair on your head. It's all part of getting older unfortunately.

I've never heard of actual balding 'down there', but it will thin out, the same as the rest. Skin and related parts - like hair - tend to dry, shrink and toughen.
And - cheer up! You'll know you're 'middle-aged', as the saying goes, when you find your first grey hair that's not on your head!!

Hello Red, My pubic hair has always been coarse,and sort of wirey. I am over 41 and the only change i have seem is my hair is turning gray. My hair grows fast all over in places.
