Blade or Electric??
Question: Need to replace my electric shaver. Not sure what to buy, been looking at blades & gel, but looks pretty expensive....
Tried blades awhile back, and got some bumps on my neck. Not sure if it was because I only tried it for a week.
Need some advice guys!
Answers: A can of shaving cream costs about $3 and will last you months. As far as blades go, this is a thing of comfort. I prefer Mach 3 blades, they are about $2 each, and need to be replaced monthly (or more depending on many factors including preference, thickness of hair, speed of growth, etc.). Compared to an electric razor $5 max a month is not that expensive, don't forget that blades also need to be replaced on electric razors. I think you will enjoy the closer shave and smoother skin you'll have. As far as the bumps, shave in the direction of the hair and use an aftershave moisturizer. The bumps come from the skin being dried out, though your face will compensate for this over time by becoming more oily.
I shave my head as well as my face and have found that some of the women's razors work much better. Not only for a smooth cut but they also seem more gentle.
