Im a male and keep getting thrush??
Question: I have used creams, clean properly down there everyday in the shower and wipe the end of my penis every time I have a wee yet I keep getting it. I have quite a long foreskin do i needa be circumsized or someting?
Answers: Doubtful. If you are sexually active, you are picking it up from someone who isn't treating it.
you say your partner does not suffer with thrush she could have it without symptoms if you both use the medication together you will stay clear. What have you got to lose if you try it
why not video your nob end, and put it on utube pretending its a strawberry?
My husband used to get thrush all the time but then he got circumsised and it stopped.
you can get thrush from using perfumed products like bath stuff and soap down below. try using unscented and see if it works
K xx
Sound like you do. But I am no Dr.. Ask your Dr.. Or you can just decide to have a done if you want to. But I wouldn't want to have your condition or be un-circumsized.
some times thrush can be brought on by antibiotics but if this keeps happening i suggest you see your GP all the best
Thrush?? That is typically oral, as far as I know. That is a candida (yeast) overgrowth.
It sounds to me like you have some sort of yeast/fungal infection going on down there.
I would stop eating bread for right now, cut out sugars and mushrooms, and don't take any antibiotics, esp if they have penicylin in them.
You need to keep that area super clean and dry, change underwear several times a day. Wash them in hot water, with bleach.
Call your doctor. You need either lamssyl or nystatin, which are great antifungals.
Also, eat plenty of yoghurt, and take garlic supplements. They have natural antifungal properties.
Abstain from sex until you are clear. Let as much air get to the area as possible.
Is your partner circumcised ? If he is he could be harboring the fungus without knowing it. A circumcised male is just as likely to have thrush as a complete male, he just will not have it bad enough to notice the infection, thrush will very quickly drive a complete male into getting treated.
It could be the shower gel or soap which is causing it
and washing it to frequently can also cause inflamation
you may have balanitis. see your dr
You don't have thrush, you have a smegma problem. Circumcission might be a good idea. Good luck with that.
Your partner may not show or suffer from any symptoms but may still be infecting you! You infect him, you clear it up on you but then reinfect yourself when you get intimate with him. Both of you should take the treatment and guarantee that you both are clear prior to any sexual activity.
Thrush is a yeast infection, you should go to the doctor who will give you cream or tablet.
