A 35 year old working mother of 3 small children sees her family doc. due to recurrent pain in the upper...??

Question: left quadrant of her abdomen. She claims that the pain is worse when she drinks coffee or alcohol, eats meats, and when she is rushing to get the kids ready to leave the house in the morning. After diagnosis, she fills a prescription for antibiotics and vows to her doc to get more rest and avoid the foods that seems to be bothering her.

The questions are:
1) Based on her symptoms and the therapy prescribed, what ailment does she likely have
2) Should she take an aspirin or ibuprofen to reduce the pain during painful attacks

It's for a class if you were wondering :) thanks
Answers: 1)An ulcer possibly caused by infection with the Helicobacter pylori bacteria
