Is fainting serious??

Question: i have been getting recent fainting spells and or feeling i am going to faint will someone please help me solve this mystery diagnosis
Answers: It can be. I would talk to your doctor.
Yes fainting can be serious. You need to see your doctor right away.
Fainting can be caused by low blood pressure, low blood sugar, heat exhaustion etc.
My sister has the same problem and she was diagnosed with very low blood pressure.
They just told her ti carry on taking the pill as it raises it and also make sure she was hydrated. They still happen and last night a blood vessel burst in her eye but she is abroad at the moment.
The hospital in Turkey told her to ask for a scan when she comes home and are sending a letter to state this is the best thing to do. Just get it checked out to be safe :-)
yes fainting can be serious but the seriousness in increased by what you land on!

i.e landing on a spike is more serious than landing on a mattress

ps see a doctor!
no i doubt it is, especially if it has only been recently, unless of course you can identify a significant event that happened recently that could be the cause of this fainting spells.

fainting is caused usually by dehydration, or by low oxygen circulation to the brain, or a combination of both. this is probably one of the major causes of fainting, unless it is a medical condition, by which i doubt you would suddenly get. usually these medical conditions are long term.

i would suggest drinking alot of water, especially when feeling faint. however, by drinking alot of water, i dont mean gushing it down your throat, slow and steady will work best.

lastly if the problem persists you may want to consult a physician for professional advice. in the meantime, take care
