Doctor's Diagnosis??
Question: I had stomach pain for well over a year that I didn't have checked out until maybe a few months ago. The doctor told me that the symptoms didn't seem to be anything usual to most problems ( does that really matter, does that mean it's not a real problem? ) So he had me get a CT Scan, and the nurse (or whoever it was, not him that's for certain) called and said that I didn't seem to have anything wrong, and I might just have some kind of infection. I didn't get medication, and wasn't asked to come back to see if I had gotten better. Is it just me or does this seem like a bad doctor? We paid a lot of money for all these things, and all I got was a It's probably nothing. The constant pain isn't telling me it's probably nothing. I plan on going to another doctor, but still.. I just can't understand some doctors and why they get paid so much for doing so little.
Answers: hmm honey you need to call that doctor and demand to know whats going on with you and you will not take 'its probably nothing' as an acceptable answer...if youre in pain something is going on with you...i wouild also go for a second opinion immediately...good luck hun and hope youre feeling better

Go to another doctor. My daughter was 12 yrs. old and always complaining with her stomach. She had started middle school so the doctor thought she was just nervous about it, several months later they decided it was muscle spasms in her stomach, sent her to a specialist & that doctor told me it was because she was overweight. 3 months after that visit she was in surgery with 2 ovarian cyst, 1 grapefruit size the other was cantalope size. Blood flow had been cut off to the right ovary and they had to take it (AT 12 YEARS OLD). 6 days later they had to do a bowel surgery from where the cyst had caused a kink in her bowels. She is ok now but I know how you feel, I thought at times the doctors thought I was making it up but I kept on taking her back until it was finally found by a ER doctor. Don't give up and hope you find a doctor who will find out your problem.
I agree with you 100%. Doctors have gotten really bad. I'm glad that you're going to get a second opinion. Meanwhile, for the stomach pain, try taking Prilosec OTC until you can see another doctor. It may help with the pain if it's acid-related.
