What is pseudodecidual transformation of serosa??
Question: after the birth of my child , a boy, by c/s section the histopatholy report diagnosis is: peritoneal surface seedling , pseudodecidual transformation of serosa.i would like to know what is it and the implication.
Answers: If I'm not mistaken (it's been a while that I learned gynecology): It seems the (second?) fetus was located outside your womb, in the peritoneal cavity, and the mucous membrane there (called serosa) was transformed so as to look like and function as a placenta.
I suppose that all this was removed during the op. and there should not be any long term implications; however, I would expect that your doc will follow up with you to make sure everything is fine.
