What are peoples experiences of Laser Eye Surgery??
Question: I can see close up but not at length.. so I wear a prescription ..glasses make me feel poorly and I currently wear disposable contact lenses which are ok, but to have the freedom of vision without assistance would be lovely I imagine
Answers: I had the same vision as yourself, and I had laser eye surgery with Ultralase in London, (other people's experiences are on their website). I was absolutely terrified before going in, but it was fine. And I'm a wuss when it comes to anything like that! There is no pain at all! I'm sure you know what is actually done, but all you're aware of, are drops being put in your eyes to numb them, then you're eyes are propped open, (this doesn't hurt AT ALL even tho that was the part I was most scared about), then they laser your eye for about 5 minutes, then do the other one. Afterwards, your eyes are washed out with solution, (that feels reeeeally nice), and then you're done! Including dressing you in a silly hat, the whole process took 15 minutes. Then they sit you in a dark room for half an hour and you're free to go. Vision isn't perfect to start off with.. I kinda got the impression i was underwater! It took about 24 hours to wear off. I have 20/20 vision now woohoo! If you've got any more questions please feel free to email me via my website at www.thedeviantrose.com!!
Thanks,
Katie
