What are the symptoms of having an obsessive disorder type of dual diagnosis??
Question: I'm a writer and I'm currently listing the characters for my next novel. I'm planning to include a character who is suffering from an obsessive disorder. I'm loving the idea I have in my head I'm willing to do everything to make the character look authentic. I need to know the symptoms of having this type of dual diagnosis so I can incorporate them in the story. Thank you for the help.
Answers: What's the title of your novel? Can you tell me about it? I love reading. =) About your question, people with obsessive disorder are a bit paranoid. They are always stressing about many things like cleaning the house, organizing the CDs, washing the dishes, pruning the plants or roasting the chicken. They are fond of rituals and they simply can't live without them. Examples of these are the constant checking of time, sweeping of floors, rearranging of furniture or spraying of insecticide. They are easily bothered by the simplest things like a candy wrapper or ice cream drippings. The usual victims of obsessive disorder are women.
Read the book the Road Less traveled By Scott Peck He did the same kind of thing. He's a psychiatrist and religious so read onThey eat allot and double check the door after they.ve left / Too much sun to the pineal cland'.
I won't tell you if I have dual diagnosis but from personal experience try mood swings like bipolar and schizophrenia. A potent combo. Good luck.

obsessive about something. Constantly washing your hands. Keeping sanitizer in your purse, car, on your desk.
Playing computer games in exact order and playing each game until you win.
After getting dressed for work you turn around three times for luck, or walk backwards.
You return to the house 5 times to make sure you have everything.
Different people obsess in different ways but you could look the symptoms up on line.
