Contortion? Long term problems with it????
Question: I am wondering about the safety of Contortion...
can someone direct me to a website that explains the long term effects of contortion? like back problems or scoliosis??? or are there even any long term health problems? if so what are they?
thank you guys
Answers: I don't think it is necessarily a health concern. However, elongated ligaments due to hyperstretching could result in instability of the joint which could lead to spasms. Also keep in mind that ligaments or muscles overstretched for prolonged period of time results in permanent damage of the muscle fibers.
arthritus and joint problems
Contortionists don't seem to suffer any long term health problems. They tend to be born with greater flexibility than most people.
