Can someone please enlighten me on what dual diagnosis is??

Question: I've heard of this somewhere and it got me intrigued. I was just wondering what this is.
Answers: A person with dual diagnosis is one who has co-occurring disorders-- one of substance abuse, and another of a psychological matter. Some of the psychological problems that the person may have are bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, paranoia, anxiety attacks, and depression, among others. The substance abuse disorder may be alcohol addiction or any drug addiction. This can be treated, but it needs a lot of determination and cooperation from the patient.
