I must present these facts before anything okay I do have MILD scoliosis(18 degree curve instead of the usual 10 degree curve) and I also have hyper-extended knees BUT at the same time my mother is 5ft 4in and my father is 6ft exactly and I used the height calculator and it states i should only grow to like 5ft 6in MAX but im already 5ft 8in I'm turning 16 this year I'm black irish and native american I used to be 5ft 6in when i was 14yrs old until i started taking teen supplement pills and i grew to 5ft 7in but then i stopped taking them for a while and i just started taking them again like 2 or 3 months ago and I EXCERCISE too so that really helps to soak up nutrience and now im 5ft 8in so do i still have growth potential OH AND I INHERITED EVERYTHING FROM MY FATHER SO COULD IT BE POSSIBLE THAT I ALSO INHERITED GROWTH PATTERNS OF A MALE HUMANOID
Answers: yes it is posiable to reach that but u have 2 eat haelthy
hi, similar racial characteristics (cherokee/black irish). i'm slight build and 5'9 . many of the men in family are 5'11 - 6'3 some are my height. so i think it's a toss up, could go either way. at 16 you have a good 4-5 years left to grow. diet is of prime importance.
Well, you are doing the right things. With your ethnic mix, you must be a very handsome fellow. Continue to take those supplements. Remember that the growth spurts for males are later than for females. My cousin was born quite small. A succession of appointments to the Mayo Clinic really did the trick. He is now happily married with a new baby on the way. If I were you, I'd check into the Mayo Clinic as well. I don't think it costs a ton. My aunt & uncle(both real shorties) weren't loaded, and they were able to do this often. Not only can the Mayo help you, but I'll bet they could change the degree of curve. They have excellent facilities for aiding you to be as tall as you can be. If you have ropes & rings at the high school gym, I'd imagine that your PE teacher could help you. I taught 16-year-old males for 30 years. What differences in height there were at that stage! From what I've seen, I would think that you have at least three more years of growth, not only in height, but in bulk as well. Do exercises that stretch your muscles.
Is there a YMCA around? Usually the membership is low.

Can help ya much, but most girls are done growing around mid-teens. As slow of a grower I was forever, after catching up I still was done by 16. If you got another inch after just a few months, then it's possible that you could still keep going. Just keep an eye on your height, at some point if you go for quite a while with nothing more then you may be done.

But either way... 5'4 is average for women, I'm under 5'5 ...to me, and many others, you ARE tall. : )
