Can Dorn Method correct scoliosis??
Question: My 12-y.o. daughter has scoliosis - her curve is 45 degrees and she's now wearing a TLSO brace. While researching on scoli, I came across the Dorn Method. The D.M. practitioner I talked to claims that scoliosis can be corrected - in my daughter's cause, he said it will take about 2-3 months of weekly sessions.
I asked my daughter's doctor regarding this. He said he doesn't recommend it, as that there is no medical evidence to prove that alternative treatments can correct scoliosis.
Is anyone here familiar with the Dorn Method? Does anyone have first-hand experience with D.M.? Can it actually correct scoliosis?

I have the answer you've been looking for. Yes scoliosis can be reversed in two/three months, I've seen it and I've experienced it, and yes my doctor should win the nobel prize!
Going on, I am 21 yrs. old, and I USED to have scoliosis (starting from age 12, like your daughter) due to a horrible car accident in which I was thrust through the windshield. I was one degree off of being in that terrible brace, and I was scheduled for the surgery at the time. The only problem, my doctors could not promise me relief from my pain, even after surgery. I said No , and today I thank God that I did. My syptoms worsened through high school, and I began having at least three migraines a week, in which no medication would touch.
Finally, I found a miracle. His name is Dr. Fuh, and his treatment is amazing. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Clear Institute for Scoliosis. They concentrate on the treatment and correction of scoliosis, and they have a TON of research devoting to it! (read it for yourself at http below) They are all about the future of scoliosis, finding treatment that nobody else has done before-new ideas (that's why the other replies have been so negative)! They are about treatments that work. I can give you a book of research if you need it!
I went in to the spinal clinic, he took an hour and a half just examining me, and then he said, I'll have you pain free in six weeks, and your scoliosis competely reversed shortly thereafter . I didn't believe him, but I thought, what else can I lose except pain?
That was two months ago. After the first treatment, my belly-button was where it was supposed to be (after being two inches to my left for eight years) and my shoulders were straight. I live two hours away from the clinic, but it is so worth the drive twice a week to see him. The treatments I receive are painless, natural, and medication-free. I actually fall asleep half of the time! The friendly staff is fun and inviting, and it is the highlight of my week. I am a full-time college student (going to school to be a teacher), a full-time worker, church member, and family person, and they work around my schedule. He's never referred to my treatments as the Dorn Method , but it sounds incredibly close.
There is a 12-year-old girl there now that had over a 60-degree curve, and she looks great! Nobody complains.

What parent wouldn't try this instead of making their beloved child wear a brace or worse-face surgery! Wouldn't you love to have your daughter scoliosis free? If you ask me, I wouldn't recommend it. This method has a history of using the principles of traditional Chinese medicine which can cause side effects.
In your daughter's case, I would greatly suggest her going for an operation. I know it sounds awful, but it is the BEST way of correcting it. I myself had to undergo a scoliosis operation when I was at the age of 13, and I had never regretted that decision which changed my life. At that time, my curvature was 63 degrees, which could post further danger if immediate action wasn't taken at that time.Backpains were a norm for me that time.
But since then, I had never experience any problems with my back. I know you may think that surgery is risky, but trust me, you should put your full trust on your doctor. Until now, there are no patients from what i've heard that have gone through unsuccessful surgeries. Therefore, I advice you to consult your doctor on this matter.
The Dorn Method cannot correct scoliosis.
If there was TRULY something that could correct scoliosis, don't you believe that it would be BIG world-wide news? Of course it would. It would have been tested and tried, there would be all kinds of medical proof, scientific tests, doctors all over the world would be praising it and using it.
There is no such thing with this Dorn Method. Why do you think there is no scientific proof? No clinical trials? Because it's a scam and if they did all these tests and trials, then there would be proof that it DOESN'T work. When they do it this way, they can take advantage of desperate people. I know you want her to not have this condition, but this is not the answer.
If you tried it with your daughter, she would probably end up in worse shape. Believe me, this is what I do.
Just use common sense. Curing scoliosis in matter of 2-3 months would qualify one for Nobel Prize...come on...
