Cant get rid of thrush !!!??
Question: i have had thrush for 3 years now ive had antibiotics creams pessarys natural yoghurt ive tried the lot and nothins workin please help
Answers: Is your partner infected also? If so you could be passing it back and forth.
I hope you have spoken to your doctor!
Daktarin, made for Athletes foot.............it works.
too much sugar in your diet might be adding to your problem
Consider changing your diet and reduce your sugar, wheat and alcohol intake for a while to see if that helps. You could also try eating natural live yoghurt. Some women find using live natural yoghurt soaked tampons helpful.
all the above advise from other people is good too.
It is definately worth going back to your GP. If you are on the contraceptive pill you may need to look into changing this, but do chat to your GP, and get your partner treated at the same time as you (if applicable)
My mother had this too and is just getting over it. Many times thrush is caused by antibiodics. To treat it she was given Nystatin (swish and swollow) from her doctor . Works well. Be careful you don't spread it to others as its contagious Where exactly do you have it? I've never heard of thrush being anywhere but in your mouth
Bottom line: Go to your doctor
I sorry to hear this.
I would visit you doctor again to review your treatment, some antibiotics can leave your body open to getting things like thrush. The thrush bug live quietly (inactive) on our bodies but what we take antibotics they kill the good bug that stops the thrush from becoming active.
General things to do that can help:
1) All under wear should be made of natural products
2) When you are being treated for thrush make sure your boyfriend?? is treated at the same time.
3) Avoid any perfumed product when bathing
4) Loose garment i.e shirts to allow the free flow of air
I hope this helps
There are creams or tablets prescribed for this kind of condition, you can get either get them from a chemist or have them prescribed for you. Its also a matter of the soap substances you use to shower or bath with which are scented and, its a case of the clothes that are tight around the crouch area.

I USE MOUTHWASH CALLED BIOTENE -- AND IT REALLY WORKS

I SWEAR BY THIS STUFF IT'S GREAT
go back to your doctor and tell him that nothing including the antibiotics have helped, he may need to take a swab and sent it to be analysed.
if you are married or have a long term partner it could be that he is reinfecting you, in which case you will both need to be treated at the same time.
i had bad thrush years ago that would not respond to treatment until my doctor treated both my husband and myself together,
i had pills, cream and pessary's and my husband had pills and cream, thankfully it worked and i have not suffered with it since.
i was also advised to wear only cotton underwear, not to wear tights( because they can cause the humid environment that thrush thrives in ) and not to use anything scented in my bath or when washing.
good luck and i hope you are soon better.
you should speak to your doctor. if you keep having recurring thrush then its an underlaying problem to something else. if it just won't go away, your partner maybe reinfecting you.
I can remember my mother had thrush and she took a powerful antibiotic internally and it cleared up. Get something like that from your doctor.
call the RSPB!!!!!
After finishing a course of antibiotics you often get thrush,so if youre taking them a lot of the time, thats probably whats causing it.
Yep see your doc he can clear it up with stronger things, over counter stuff not always strong enough?
Try Tea Tree oil.
Get a cat.
DO YOU BATHE AND USE BATH SALTS OR ANYTHING IN YOUR BATH AS THIS CAN CAUSE IT OR ARE YOU HAVING DIFFERENT SEXUAL PARTNERS OR HAS YOUR PARTNER BEEN FOOLING AROUND GO TO YOUR DOC AND GET SORTED AND IF YOU HAVE A PARTNER THEY WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO GET MEDICATION AS WELL AS YOU CAN PAS IT ON TO EACH OTHER BACK AND FORTH
your Dr should try harder, may be worth being checked for diabetes as we often suffer with this problem, my sympathies
Consult a doctor.
Or you can try this:
Do u use soap or any scented or even unscented feminine wash? If you do, try not to use soap or any fem wash when washing that area. Just use water and see how it goes.
i never knew thrush could last so long are you sure thats what it is? check with your doctor, i get thrush on the occasion but never for that long
see the doctor
CANESTEEN........cream....it will clear it up....good luck...x
Thrush
Thrush is a yeast infection usually caused by an overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans. Candida is yeast that lives in the gut, mouth and vagina where it normally causes no serious problems. But certain factors like antibiotics, diabetes, a high sugar diet or the birth control pill may deplete the naturally-occurring bacteria in the gut and thus disrupting the balance and allowing the overgrowth.
At least three out of four women will experience thrush at some time in their lives, but not everybody knows that men can get it too.
Symptoms to look out for include: gas and bloating; a white coating on the tongue; soreness; redness and itching around the vagina or foreskin; and a thick white discharge that can smell of yeast.
Thrush is easily treated using pessaries or creams, but there are also important dietary changes that can help the condition. Avoid sugar, bread, wine and beer. Eat natural, sugar-free yoghurt and take the supplement acidophilus to replace good bowel bacteria.
Have you tried Homoeopathic Medication,or some of the Chinese herbal remades, also do you have a partner, maybe it is being prolonged by passing it across to one and another
Drink bucketloads of water each day, that will definitely shift it.
