How will I be able to find substance abuse treatment centers in Montville, New Jersey??

Question: Ever since her father died, my friend just sort of threw her life away. She began taking drugs and hanging out with people that she never would have hung out with before. I was surprised to hear her voice on the phone last night. She told me she dreamt about her dad and that her dad wants her to go back to how she once was. I think that got her to think about getting herself treated. I told her I'd help her find a treatment center.
Answers: Whoa, I'm sure it must have been tough for your friend-- dealing with her father's death and all. A lot of times, it's stress that gets people to try drugs. That and the need to escape reality for a while. I'm really glad that your friend has already decided to turn over a new leaf.

The links below will help you in finding treatment centers. You can also get her to see a doctor and the doctor will then tell her what she should do. I hope she gets well soon. Good luck!

I just read your question and tried using Google (http://www.google.com) to look for substance abuse treatment centers. I typed in: Montville, NJ substance abuse treatment centers. Several sites are mentioned. If you need help choosing one, is there someone you trust to help? For example, a doctor, a pastor, a school counselor, nurse, or principal, a teacher, your parents. If your friend needs help, you need to let someone else you trust help.
I would help her find a good counselor and they could surely reccomend a great treatment center and perhaps help her as well! It is good of you to stick by her and help her! Good luck with everything!
As a friend you need to do the following things...

1. When she talks about suicide, ask her if she's really thinking about harming herself
2. If she says yes ask her if she has means to do so, pills, gun, etc.
3. Ask her how she would do it
4. If she says she is in grave danger, that she wants to kill herself, call 911

For drug and alcohol help, contact your county offices and ask them for your drug and alcohol case management office and they can help your friend out as long as she wants help.

They should be able to help your friend even if she doesn't have insurance.
