Diagnosis please??
Question: All of these starting happening right after I had 2 wisdom teeth extracted 2 1/2 months ago but it might not be related.
I have jaw pain, headaches, ear pain, shoulder pain on mostly one side of my body and my upper chest and neck glands stay really sore and slightly swollen if I am not taking antibotics. I have seen my doctor twice and he has gave me a shot of rosephin, and a total of 14 days of leviquin and I have had multple bloodwork done.
Under his orders I am going to my dentist tommarow for a dental x-ray because he thinks I have a deep reocurring abcess from one of the extractions which is causeing infection which is what is causing the pain and upper body soreness on one side, and if that don't turn anything up he said I was getting a CT scan.
BTW the soreness and slight pain is slowing starting to effect the other neck gland but he said that is from infection spreading. And the antibiotics do help some but not totally.
Any opinions or anyone similar symptoms?
Answers: It sounds like you could have some type of abscess as they grow and can press on the nerves in your neck causing pain. you may or may not have a fever with it though but it would show up on a CT better than on an x-ray.
I hope this helps.
