Does anesthesia shots hurt bad??

Answers: Are you referring to local anesthesia? If so, it stings only briefly, then goes numb.
It's no big deal. I promise!! And when you wake up, you're gonna be in heaven; the most comfortable you've ever been. So enjoy the whole experience! It's costing enough, right?! Might as well enjoy it!! :)

For general anesthesia, an IV is started, and everything thereafter is injected into the IV tubing.

Spinals and epidurals involve a needle, but we numb your back first, so it's not so bad. (I've had one spinal and done thousands)

Local anesthetics burn a LOT during the injection, but only for a few seconds.

Our whole job is to keep you safe and comfortable. You'll be fine.
That is true; or if you mean the shot you get prior to general anesthesia, it stings for a while, by which time they are probably giving you the General.
IV propofol, a common drug used to induce anesthesia, can cause burning in the vein, but we usually give some IV lidocaine to avoid this.
