Ingrown toenail question...??

Question: I have an ingrown toenail on my big toe on the left side.
Im going to a surgeon right now because we dont have any local podiatrists. He is saying that i will need to go under anesthesia to get the one side removed.

My brother has had an ingrown toenail before and all he had to do was get the numbing shot and get it out.

Do you think i should go to a different town to find a specialist, or just stick with the surgeon?
Answers: I had an ingrown toe nail removed about 2 months ago and they did the samething as they did to your brother, two shots right at the base of the toe. I'd consider going to someone else.

Also you shouldn't need to find a specialist to do it, my family doctor did it just fine
A GP should be able to do this procedure. The surgeon wants to put you under because it costs more and that means more money for him. Go to your normal doctor.
