Will they ever find a cure for Dementia??

Answers: I certainly hope so. I read recently that they have found a link between Alzheimer's and the herpes simplex 1 virus. That's the one that cases cold sores or fever blisters. That is good news if that is the case, because if they can find a cure for that, then possibly it will also cure Alzheimer's.
dementia is the brain lossing its cells in simple tearms, there is a chance stem cells will help in the future. the thing with dementia is the person suffering may not necessarly know, it is harder for the people watching.
actually stem cell research has shown some encouraging results in this area, however, the brain may revert to eating itself again unless the cause is discovered and fixed. of course this is just speculation becuase they haven't been able to complete research (federal ban)
with the advancement in Science and technology, cure for many dieases have been found... So we should be positive for finding a cure for Dementia....

I think they will find a way to PREVENT it from happening but actually CURING those who already got it might be a little diffcult.

But I sure hope they do find a cure or a definitive cause of the various types of dementia.
i hope so, but i wont live to see it
I am sure they will in time, like the cures for cancer, science is a billion years ahead of where they were say 20 years ago and breakthroughs are coming at speed, sadly for some it still will be too late, but i am absolutely certain that it will come.
i hope so
I think they will. There are so many causes for dementia, that it will take time - but one by one, the cures will be found.
Oddly enough, the best way to avoid dementia is to avoid smoking.
Smoking hardens your arteries and diminishes the blood flow to your brain and causes dementia.
Don't Smoke and you've won half the battle.
id like to hope they will real soon.My nanna had that,my ex s mum currently does,my other nan and my dad died of cancer so i hope they find cures soon, for all the people who are going through any disease thats so shocking, cruel and sad. cheers and hopes always :)
A cure, i.e. reversing the changes and damage to one's brain, is probably a long way away, but there already exist many ways of delaying the onset of dementia. As mentioned, smoking is one of the activities that can bring on early dementia. Others include poisons in our diet, such as high intake of aluminum and other heavy metals. Obesity that diverts the blood away from the brain is unhelpful. Positive things are physical exercise, mental training such as doing crosswords and mental arithmetic, positive outlook on life, healthy diet, mental stimulation, and even healthy sex, can all help to keep early senility at bay.
huh! wot was the question again!
First they would have to understand more about the brain and it's relation to the functioning of the mind. For example why we do not use more of our brain than we do, only a percentage.
