My lower back has a hump right above my butt bone, it is now swollen and is very painful, what is wrong??

Question: The spot is really swollen and the pains shoot down through my legs, is it a slipped disc or nerve? It stays swollen and depending on my activities determines the level of pain. The hump is now swollen beyond belief and I am afraid it may be scoliosis or something..any suggestions before I go to the doctor tomorrow on what it is?
Answers: Just too many possibilities. Frankly, physicians will have problem diagnosing what you have without special studies...
you expect non professionals on this forum to help you with descriptions you gave?

When do you think would be a good time for you to see a doc? when you are paralyzed waist down? Go see someone asap..
My friend had that same hump above her butt, but she cracked her tailbone during childbrith. It sounds pretty serious and I think you need to see a doctor.

You may have a herniated disc and yes you do need to see a dr or you can do further damage. good luck!
Just take it easy and dont over exert yourself in any way. Let the doc handle it and tell you what is wrong. I could tell you a dozen or more things it could be, but it is better to let the doc handle it. Good luck.
could b a hernia
