Would scoliosis limit your abilities??


Question: Sportwise?
Answers: Yes sports will limit you if you have Scoliosis, I have a harrington rod from T5 to L1 and I am very limited in sports and exercises. Trampolining should be avoided at all costs and contact sports also such as Hockey and Football, the last thing you need is a whack on the back!

However, all of the above depends if you have had correction or not and also depends on what your body can achieve, take care and be sensible in your choices, horse riding can also cause problems but Yoga and Pilates should be fine. Yoga is fine for me but Pilates is not because I cannot get into the neutral position.
Gymnastics is probably the only thing you couldn't do. You'll tend to hurt after playing but you'll definately be able to participate.
