My doc just told me i have scoliosis (5 degrees). is it ok for people w/ scoliosis to crack their back??

Question: the doc didn't really go into it that much. i think my case is minor if she said it was only 5 degrees. anyway, should i be more careful about lifting heavy objects and having myself or my friends crack my back?
thanks for any info
Answers: Honestly it's not okay for anybody to crack their own back or have their friends do it, scoliosis or not. I'm not saying I've never done it, but it is so unhealthy and in some cases can result in serious injury (paralyzation) or even death. If you feel that you need to be cracked that badly you should see a chiropractor. They are specially trained to crack joints, and align them properly. Hope this helps. :-)

For now, let a chiropractor do it. He/she can restore the proper curve to your spine more easily than traditional treatments.
its kind of bad cracking your back is actually just pops of air. I had scoliosis and did it and im fine. and if you go to a chiropractor they can set u back into place.
idk i guess so because im 14 when i went to school they did tests for that and they looked at me a second time and then they said i had it but it is very small degree and i crack my back all the time and it does not bother me so you sould be fine
Yeah, you can crack your back. I have major scoliosis and I have had surgery (spinal fusion) for it, and I crack my back. A chiropractor will crack your back, too. You should always be careful cracking it yourself or letting your friends do it, whether you have scoliosis or not. Messing around with your spine could be dangerous or cause more damage.
no u shouldnt cuz it may cause it to make ur back to turn sideways more
