Is there a cure for alopecia??
Answers: I've treated 3 cases of alopecia this year so far - 2 women (2 a hairdresser) and one man. What they all had in common was recent traumatic stress - and it was this that was successfully treated by homoeopathy & the hair is regrowing nicely in all cases. Over the past 10 years, I've treated probably 40 cases - more frequently in recent years as people learn about homoeopathy. I've not had one failure yet - so yes, there is a cure for the person suffering this condition. Find yourself a registered Homoeopath from the Society of Homeopaths. Best wishes
No fully effective treatments are available.
Conventional medicine uses cortisone injections to stimulate hair regrowth. Twenty to thirty injections per patch are required once a month. The injections are uncomfortable and some patients do not respond to cortisone or any treatment.
Ultraviolet Light Therapy can help with the Alopecia.
A head transplant works apparently.
No, It's usually stress related so I suppose that life changes could reverse the effect.
in some cases hair can just grow back but i dont know about a cure, i know stress levels effect it
There is no ' cure ' per se, however 2 drugs do promote hair growth:
Finnesteride, ( a drug normally used for benign prostate disease) this costs about £30/month it takes about 4 years to establish good growth which regresses when the drug is stopped. It is only available on private prescription for this purpose.
Minoxidil lotion is a rub-on treatment, (originally an oral B-blocker) It slows further balding in 50% of users, but only 15% get good renewal growth. It is available over the counter. It is about £20/month and also has to be used continuously.
