My gum stopped bleeding after the dentist removed my plague and after quitting sugar. Now it's come back even?
Question: though I no longer have giginvitis. I bleed every time I floss or brush my teeth and always end up with pink toothbrush. My gum has receded somewhat and i can feel my teeth wobbling sometimes. I read that when this happens, it means i'm in dire need of vitamin C. I've been taking 1000mg of vitamin C time released for 6 months now but no improvement at all.
Answers: for bleeding gums
I take 3,000 mg of Vitamin C, 3 times a day,
I take 2, 500mg niacin, 3 times a day (with meals)
I take 1 CoEnzyme CQ10 100mg
works pretty good.
You need to have ur perio (gum) health re-evaluated. If its only been 6months and you have good home care then you will need a more rigorous treatment and probably some more oral hygeine instruction. There is also a possibilty you may have other periodontal problems that may not very obvious to the dentist at first. If ur teeth are starting to feel loose you need to go take care of this ASAP before you start losing teeth.
1000mg of vit c, too much. You are not having vit c defency, you are having gum infection. You are not doing a proper flossing & brushing tecnique. If after scaling you have bleeding gums, you check up with your general physician, it might be bad like lukameia, blood cancer.
You need to go back to the dentist ASAP. You have gum disease and need to get this treated ASAP before you wind up losing all of your teeth.
The right time to have another prophylaxis is probably every six months.. So i guess u need another scaling( cleaning) by the dentist. Sometimes moving teeth indicative of gum problems is age related. If you are young, you need to concentrate on the right brushing technique, also the inside of teeth. Also use a mouthwash apart from brushing and flossing. And it will be soon that your condition will improve.
