The weight training is a form of physical exercise to develop muscle strength and size of muscles. It is a common means of resistance exercise and in turn a type of strength training, which uses the force of gravity (through records and dumbbells) that is opposed to muscle contraction. Done properly, weight training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in the health and general welfare. Weight training is used in various sports, but sports that arise directly from this training are the bodybuilding, the weightlifting, the power lifting and strongman.

Anaerobic means “without oxygen” and refers to the exchange of energy without oxygen in a living tissue. Anaerobic exercise is an activity intensive short and where the anaerobic metabolism occurs in the muscles. Examples of anaerobic exercise: weightlifting, abdominal any exercise that consists of a brief effort is an anaerobic exercise. Anaerobic exercise is typically used by athletes in sports with low resistance to gain power, and by bodybuilders to gain muscle mass. The muscles that are trained under anaerobic exercise develop differently from the histological level, gaining more performance in activities of short duration and high intensity. Aerobic exercise, on the other hand, includes lower intensity activities developed in longer time periods, such as walking, running, swimming and cycling. They require a lot of oxygen to generate energy that is needed in a prolonged exercise.
